An AI spokesperson is an AI actor that reads your script on camera, the job a filmed creator does in a UGC ad. An AI video model moves its face and lips to match the voice: in RiffAds that is OmniHuman 1.5, Seedance 2.5 Actor or MiniMax H3 Max Lip Sync. No. Every actor in the RiffAds library is generated by AI from scratch, not built from a photo or video of a real person. A custom actor is different: you can build one from a photo, as long as the person in it is you or gave written consent. Never recreate a celebrity or influencer without consent you can prove. ### Is it legal to use AI actors in ads? It can be, if the ad stays honest. FTC staff say its rule on fake reviews and testimonials does not ban AI avatars in marketing outright, though an ad with an avatar can still be deceptive under the FTC Act. The line is the script: an AI actor must not pose as a real customer, because the rule bans fake testimonials, including ones from a person who does not exist. ### Do I have to disclose an AI actor in my ad? Often, yes. TikTok makes a disclaimer mandatory on ads with AI-generated or synthetic media. New York requires whoever produces an ad to conspicuously disclose a synthetic performer they know is in it. In the EU, since 2 August 2026, a lifelike AI person that would falsely appear real can count as a deepfake and needs a visible or audible label. You run the ad, not RiffAds, so you add the label. ### Can an AI actor hold or show my product? Yes, with a workflow rather than a library actor. Each language is a new take from your script, not a dub of an existing video. ### How much does an ad with an AI actor cost? It depends on the model and the length. The studio quotes the credits before anything renders. OmniHuman 1.5 is 28 credits a second, so a 30 second ad with its voice-over is about 848 credits. 1 credit is $0.01. Every paid plan includes API, MCP, Agent Skills and CLI, so an agent can choose who is on screen, get a quote and start the render on your credits. A person sets its limits, by default 600 credits per job and 2,000 a day. A 30 second OmniHuman 1.5 video costs more than that job limit, so an owner or admin must raise it for long takes.
